This Friday the trail rider’s will be coming in from several area’s to congregate at the Memorial Park to get ready for the Downtown Parade on Saturday. This is an annual tradition started back in the 1950’s and kicks off the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo events. If you are behind one of these groups of trail riders be friendly but don’t honk your horn, that can spook the horse and riders. Also, another tradition is “Go Texan” Day, Friday, February 24, 2016. This is the day for everyone to be a cowboy or cowgirl. For this one day, abandon your business clothes for boots and jeans for the day! It’s fun and a nice break from work attire!
